Q magazine analysis

For my research I have looked at the front cover, contents page and a double paged spread of Q magazine.

This is the front cover of a Q magazine. The main image is central and it takes up most of the page. Also, the masthead is at the top left hand side and is big so it stands out and the reader knows what type of magazine it is. Around the image the text is smaller and suits the colour scheme of the artist and the colour of the text. There is not a lot of different colours of text. This is good as it makes the cover look organised and well presented. Also, there is not a wide variety of font sizes making the front cover look organised and well presented.
This is a contents page of a Q magazine. There is the features on the left hand side but the main focus if the contents page is the image. It is a feature in the magazine and is going to be a popular. This is why they have a large image and is centre of attention.
This is a double paged spread of a Q magazine. There is the main image which shows what the article is about on one page and then the text on another page. The biggest bit of text is the quote underneath the picture which will show to the reader what the article is about. I really like this feature of the double paged spread. Also, the image goes across both pages but is mainly seen on the left hand side as the text is overlapping. I also like this as it shows the background of the image.
